Thai media magnate Krit Ratanarak got a boost to his wealth as shares of Bank of Ayudhya, in which he has a minority stake, more than doubled in the past year. The bank, controlled by Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, saw its shares jump in January, amid a broader market rally. His Bangkok Broadcasting & TV, which operates the popular Channel 7 and started digital broadcasts last year, recorded a modest rise in revenues as the political situation stabilised and advertising spends recovered. Krit's Siam City Cement, Thailand's second-largest cement producer, was founded by his late father Chuan.
